Comments: As most people are now aware, over the past two years, metal prices in general have gone up dramatically. Gold prices have almost tripled in the last 24 months, and silver prices are almost double what we were paying in 2008. Keeping this in mind, sales of average quality jewellery have reduced dramatically and heavier, good quality jewellery of the type i generally manufacture are almost non existent. Due to my semi-retired status, turnover is not a major concern to me, but i would like to carry on producing what my loyal customers want ! I am presently working on a small range of silver jewellery completely unlike anything i have manufactured before, a cross between craft market design & traditional jewellery quality of manufacture. Unlike craft workers who tend to use silver plated wire, and un soldered jump rings which fall apart, and turn your ears black, i will be using sterling silver 925, and soldering every joint where possible. Any suggestions of what you would like to see in this range of new products will be greatly appreciated. Viv
